Biochemist William Frey has come to a conclusion that crying removes toxic substances that tend to build up when people are emotionally stressed. The study highlighted that you can only reap these benefits if you cry psychic tears —tears triggered by real emotions.

On another note, it seems there is even a specific time frame to maximise this slimming effect as scientists have apparently cited the best time to sob over is anytime between 7PM to 10PM.
