The milk tea craze is stronger than ever, with foreign brands joining in the already vast roster of milk tea choices in our country. 2018 capped off with Tiger Sugar setting up shop in BGC, now, another popular Taiwanese beverage brand Xing Fu Tang is on its way to conquer Manila.
Xing Fu Tang’s first ever branch in the Philippines will be located at the fifth floor of The Podium mall in Mandaluyong. The launch is already this Friday, March 15, so better save the date!
While it hasn’t even opened yet, there are plans of having two more shops: in the Venice Grand Canal Mall in Taguig, and in Promenade Mall in San Juan City. The dates on which these stores will open are still unknown.

Xing Fu Tang is relatively new to the milk tea industry, as it started January just last year. In a short amount of time, the chain emerged as one of the favorites, now operating in more or less 60 places in Taiwan and overseas like Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Vancouver.
The Taiwanese milk tea brand is famous for its flagship drink, the brown sugar bubble milk.
What’s so unique about the beverage is, unlike your regular bubble tea drink, Xing Fu Tang’s tapioca pearls are stir-fried with caramelized brown sugar. Fans describe the taste as a subtle smokey caramel flavor.
