Chris Pratt is Doing A Bible-Inspired Diet

American actor Chris Pratt recently released an Instagram story to update his followers about his current diet called the Daniel Fast. It involves two things: fasting and praying, as inspired by the Bible.

The partial fast restricts certain food items for 21 consecutive days. Its name was inspired by the Old Testament prophet Daniel who limited his diet to water and vegetables, leaving behind indulgences such as wine and meat, in order to cleanse his body and to improve his spiritual connection with God.

Dieters would do the same, restricting themselves to consume only food that grow from seeds like vegetables, grains, and fruit, and to drink nothing but water.

Like any normal person, Chris struggled to stay in shape during the holidays.


On an Instagram story he said, “These last couple of months, I have just not been that motivated to work out. And I’ve been eating, and I know it’s winter and it’s holiday season. This morning I woke up and I’ve determined that I’m going to get on it. And I don’t want to, but I’m going to do it, I’m going to start it today.”

He added, “Let’s motivate each other. Social media stuff can be so ugly and so nasty and it can make us hurt one another but I’m trying to motivate ya.”
